Erg Merzouga

Merzouga is a small village in southeastern Morocco, about 35 kilometres southeast of Rissani, about 55 kilometers from Erfoud, and about 50 kilometers from the Algerian border. The village is known for its proximity to Erg Chebbi, a Saharan erg, and it is for this reason a part of the itineraries of many tourists visiting Morocco. Merzouga has the largest natural underground body of water in Morocco.

Lovely overnight flight with Ethiopian Airlines - very good food; impressive wines; and attentive flight attendants. Would absolutely recommend this airline to anyone.All of the experiences in Cape Town were very good and “must see” (Robbin Island, Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Cape Point day, whales and penguins). Went to 2 vineyards - beautiful scenery, but quite expensive. Our stay in Victoria Falls was a beautiful historical hotel.
